The Problem

During the pandemic, mass amounts of employees started new jobs entirely virtually. Though convenient, work from home employees suffer from an unreplicable in-office environment. Separation from the job culture, inability to interpret team dynamics, and guilt around the work from home environment reaped overworking, isolated, and burnt-out employees.

Our Solution

Watercooler is a static desktop plug-in that facilitates run-ins ‘at the watercooler,’ replicating the casual interactions that are missed from office spaces. It bridges the virtual workplace gap by offering quick micro-interactions between coworkers’ avatars, fun minigames, and a community board. Ultimately, Watercooler is here to help form bonds outside of work meetings and knit together a work from home community to support and encourage throughout the workday.
